Bedtime Prayer 1

Now I lay me

                        down to sleep.

I pray the LORD

                                    my soul to keep.

If I should die

                        before I wake.

I pray the LORD

                        my soul to take.

            This I ask for Jesus’ sake.

Bedtime Prayer 2

Now the light has gone away.

Father, listen while I pray.

Asking You to watch and keep

And to grant me quiet sleep.

Jesus Savior, wash away

All that has been wrong today.

Make me more like You each day.

In all that I do and say.

Bedtime Prayer 3

All praise to Thee, My God,

this night

For all the blessings

of the light.

Keep me, oh keep me,

King of kings,

Beneath Thine own

Almighty wings.

Bedtime Prayer 4

Be near me, Lord Jesus,

I ask Thee to stay.

Close by me forever,

And love me I pray.

Bless all Thy dear children

In thy tender care.

And take us to heaven

To live with Thee there.

Jesus, tender Shepherd, hear me;

Bless Thy little child tonight.

Through the darkness be Thou near me,

Keep me safe till morning light.

May my sins be all forgiven,

Bless the friends I love so well;

Take me, Lord, at last to heaven.

Happy there with Thee to dwell.

Bedtime Prayer 6

I thank You, my Heavenly Father,

Through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son,

That You have kept me this day from all

Harm and danger.

I pray that You would forgive my sins,

Where I have done wrong.

And graciously keep me this night.

For into Your hands I commend myself,

My body, and soul, and all things.

Let Your holy angels be with me,

That the evil foe may have no power over me.
