Little Lambs of Peace Staff

Our staff is such a blessing to the children and families we serve!  They bring so many unique and special qualities to our classrooms.  Most importantly, they share the love of Jesus through all they teach, do and say.

Our staff members are well-educated and have a combined total of 53 years of teaching experience here at Little Lambs!  Lead teachers and their assistants participate in 15 hours of continuing education each year.  We are proud to have a staff so devoted to our school and to lifelong learning.

CINDY KRAUSS: Lead Teacher- 4 Year-old Preschool

Cindy received a B.S. degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Cleveland State University.  She has taught second grade at St. Joseph and John Interparrochial School in Strongsville, Ohio.  Cindy has worked as a lead teacher at A Child’s Place Preschool in Milwaukee, taught CCD at St. Leonard’s Church and most recently taught Kindergarten at St. William School in Waukesha.  On Thursdays, you will find Cindy working in the office as Assistant to the Director.  Cindy is returning for her 11th year at Little Lambs!

DEBBIE SHIRODA: Lead Teacher- 4 Year-old Preschool

Debbie obtained her Elementary Education degree in Preschool – 6th Grade from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Her teaching experience includes 3rd and 5th Grade at Highland View School in Greendale as well as child-care for all ages at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Child Care Center.  Debbie has been an assistant in our 4 Year-old Preschool program for 3 years before becoming a lead teacher.  This is Debbie’s 4th year at Little Lambs!

JOANNE WEBB:  Lead Teacher- 3 Year-old Preschool

Joanne received a B.A. in Psychology/Child Development from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Her experience includes teaching, developing and implementing curriculum for children ages 1-5.  She helped to develop the Southside Wellness Project as a parent educator and community organizer.  Joanne is returning for her 9th year at Little Lambs!

MARY BALISTRERI: Lead Teacher- 3 Year-old Preschool/Little Explorers

Mary obtained an Associates degree in Child Care and Development from MATC.  She taught 4 and 5 year-olds at Children’s Land of Learning in Oak Creek.  Mary has been an assistant in our 3 Year-old Preschool program and Little Explorer before becoming a lead teacher.  This is Mary’s 6th year at Little Lambs!

DEBBIE HOEPPNER: Assistant Teacher- 4 Year-old Preschool/2-Toddler

Debbie has her Early Childhood I and II certification and has taught in the 3 Year-old Preschool program and Toddler classes at Hales Corners Lutheran Primary School.  Debbie is returning for her 7th year at Little Lambs!

NANCY REIMER: Assistant Teacher- 3 Year-old Preschool/Little Explorers

Nancy obtained a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Milwaukee.  She was a lead teacher in the 3 Year-old program at Willow Edge Preschool as well as the school’s Music Teacher.  This is Nancy’s 5th year at Little Lambs!

CAROLYN LAVEN: Assistant Teacher- 3 and 4 Year-old Preschool

Carolyn has received her Early Childhood I and II certification and has assisted in our 2 Toddler classes and Extended Care programs.  She has been a frequent substitute in all of our programs.  Both of her children attended LLOP.  This is Carolyn’s 4th year at Little Lambs!

LAURIE KIELISZEWSKI: Lead Teacher 2-Toddler/Little Explorers

Laurie is taking courses at WCTC to earn a degree in Education.  Laurie has been a substitute at Little Lambs in the Infant, 2-Toddler Classes and Extended Care.  We are glad to have Laurie back for her 3rd year at Little Lambs!

NANCY SORENSEN: Assistant Teacher 2-Toddler/Extended Care

Nancy has received her Early Childhood I and II certification and has assisted in our Extended Care program and now in our 2-Toddler class.  Her granddaughter attended LLOP.  This is Nancy’s 5th year at Little Lambs!

HEATHER CULLI: Director/2-Toddler Teacher

Heather received a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University in River Forest, IL.  She has experience teaching Kindergarten at Immanuel Lutheran School in Baltimore, MD, Third Grade at Our Savior Lutheran School in Houston, TX and Elm Grove Lutheran School in Elm Grove, WI.  Heather has preschool teaching and assisting experience at Children’s Community Center in Menomonee Falls and Zion Lutheran School in Menomonee Falls.  She taught the Infant and 2-Toddler classes at Little Lambs before becoming Director in July 2009.  This is Heather’s 5th year at Little Lambs!
