Music Ministry

Music at Peace

Martin Luther held music in highest regard as 'handmaid of the Word', as author of over 30 hymns - still sung 500 years on. At Peace, music supports Lutheran rites and the Church Year, assisting all worshipers in their prayer and praise, through both contemporary and traditional music. Our volunteer singers, players, and staffers strive to celebrate our rich heritage weekly in joyful preparation and spirited musical performance.

There are numerous ways to participate in the music ministries at Peace and we invite you to consider joining us!

Peace Choir

Peace Choir consists of mixed singers raising their voices in praise, singing accompanied and a cappella SATB music with a repertoire consisting of traditional hymns, spirituals, classic choral arrangements and contemporary anthems.

The choir sings twice a month on the 2nd & 4th Sundays, September through May. They rehearse on the same Sundays at 10:15 am

If you are interested in singing with the choir, please contact our director Tom Halverson. He may be reached through the church office.

Peace Bell Choir

If you grew up plating an instrument and would like to use your music reading skills to enhance our worship at Peace, the Bell Choir is a great opportunity!

The bells typically play twice a month on the 1st & 3rd Sundays, September through May. They rehearse on the same Sundays at 10:15 am
